Did you know:
The Guardian reports that nearly 50% of British teenagers feel addicted to social media.
The Royal Society for Public Health UK has found links between social media usage and higher rates of depression, anxiety, and poor mental health in young people.
At Charles Lyndon, we are determined to hold social media companies accountable for causing harm to children in the UK. We are currently investigating claims against all major social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat and Facebook.

Social Media Harm Claims in the US
In the US, courts have recognised that social media companies design platforms that are harmful to children and fail to protect them with adequate safeguards, parental controls, and age-verification systems.
In one of the claims brought in the US against social media compagnies (KGM v Meta), Meta and Google were found to have deliberately designed their platforms to be addictive, with features such as autoplay, infinite scroll, and the use of algorithms in recommending content. The then 20-year-old woman (referred to as KGM) who brought the claim, argued that these addictive features contributed to her development of mental health conditions, including depression, body dysmorphia and anxiety.
In their verdict, the jury found both social media companies designed Instagram and YouTube with addictive features that contributed to the young woman’s mental health conditions, and she was awarded $6 million in damages.
Bring a Claim in the UK
At Charles Lyndon we believe that this justice should not be confined to the US, and that children in the UK also deserve to hold social media companies accountable for causing harm to their mental health.
Help us to bring social media companies to justice on behalf of children in the UK and require higher standards from social media companies to protect those using their platforms.
