On 17 July 2020 Charles Lyndon launched a claim against Mercedes in relation to the diesel emissions scandal and are inviting eligible claimants to join the claim for compensation.
Charles Lyndon’s lawyers have been closely monitoring Mercedes’ use of ‘cheat devices’. Mercedes’ parent company, Daimler, was fined €870 million by German prosecutors in 2019; and across the EU, Mercedes vehicles have been recalled, including in the UK.
Charles Lyndon believes there are over 1.7 million eligible claimants that could each receive in excess of £10,000 in compensation for Mercedes disregarding and manipulating the UK and EU Emissions regulations.

Owners of these affected vehicles have reported that their vehicle has not performed as efficiently as expected and, in some cases, incurred higher than anticipated running and maintenance costs, including higher fuel costs. - Your environment
Higher levels of nitrogen dioxide pollution is toxic to the environment. Nitrogen dioxide is an air pollutant, it contributes to the formation of photochemical smog, which has a significant impact on the world we live in and wildlife.

The eligibility criteria to join the claim is simple:
- You have owned (including were gifted, hire-purchased, or loaned) a Mercedes;
- It is a C Class, CLS, E Class, G, GL 350, GLC, GLE, GLK, GLS, ML, S Class, SLC 250d, SLK 250d, Sprinter, V-Klasse, Vito or Vito Tourer;
- And it was manufactured between 2009 and 2019.
